Rose McGill Holiday Program

The Rose McGill Holiday Sharing Program of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation is a “family” support system for current Rose McGill Confidential Aid recipients. It is Kappas helping Kappas.

 

Lift the spirits of a deserving Kappa during the holidays through our Association's participation in the Rose McGill Holiday Program.  Your contribution will allow our Association to provide a $250 gift card to this year's Holiday Rose

Melanie is a 38 year old alumna who lives in Virginia.  Melanie is an accomplished and well-respected educator seeking to regain financial control over her life following the devastating financial and personal actions by her husband.  She turned to Rose McGill when she assumed responsibility for home mortgage payments, and to obtain legal counsel.  She has ended up with full financial responsibility for her two teen-aged sons because their father refused to contribute. Her son, Michael (16) loves military history, sailing and making model ships.  He aspires to go to the Naval Academy and eventually become a JAG officer.  Toby (14) loves lacrosse, wrestling, Legos and race cars.  He aspires to study auto engineering and design.

She has been very grateful for the Rose McGill grant, and to her special network of Kappa sisters.

 

How to Donate:

  • by check, payable to SVAA of Kappa Kappa Gamma and mailed to SVAA Treasurer Melissa Yap, 4041 Falmouth Way, Roseville, CA 95747

Donations received by November 26th will be used to procure a gift card that will be sent to Melanie. Any amounts received after the 26th will be passed on to the Kappa Kappa Foundation to support members in need throughout the year. 

Add something special!  Dial up the holiday cheer by including a personal note to Melanie with your donation.  Either mail a handwritten note to the address above or email kkgsacvalleyalumnae@gmail.com with whatever message you'd like to pass on.
